Dana Ildis Brosh, Couples and Family Therapist: A place to listen, understand and grow closer.

Supporting couples, families and individuals through change, crisis and growth.

Hello, I’m Dana

I work with families, couples and individuals at the moments when life asks us to redefine things, and to see them more clearly.

Sometimes that’s a major life transition, like becoming parents and shaping the kind of parenting partnership that fits the two of you. Sometimes it’s a crossroads and a decision to be made. And sometimes it’s the point where conversations get stuck and turn into a cycle of arguments, tension and frustration.

In my practice I help with couple and family conflict, children’s behavioral difficulties and the everyday dynamics of home life, through communication that brings people closer, relationships that can hold what’s difficult, and practical psycho-educational tools.

When might you reach out?

You can come as a couple, as a family, as parents or on your own. These are some of the moments I accompany people through:

Couples

  • When the same argument keeps coming back
  • When talking feels stuck, and conversations slide into tension and frustration
  • Becoming parents, and finding the parenting partnership that fits you

Families and parents

  • Conflict and strain within the family
  • Children’s behavioral difficulties
  • Parenting challenges and the dynamics at home

On your own

  • Major life transitions and difficult decisions
  • Struggles in your relationship or close connections

My training and professional approach

Education

  • Master’s degree (M.A.) Family Studies and Couples Counseling
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) Psychology

An integrative approach

My work is integrative, drawing on a range of therapeutic theories and tools, including:

  • Imago (IMAGO) A structured dialogue between partners that makes room for real listening, and for what lies beneath the argument.
  • Adlerian Individual Psychology Understanding each person within their relationships, and the need for belonging, meaning and encouragement.
  • Structural approach Looking at how a family is organized: its roles, boundaries and the patterns that have formed at home.
  • Narrative techniques Working with the stories we tell about ourselves and our relationships, and making room for a different one.

How I bring them together is shaped around the particular needs of whoever walks through the door.

What guides my work

I believe people are fundamentally good, and that at the heart of every close relationship is a deeply human need: to be truly seen, and to feel safe and held.

A good relationship isn’t measured by the absence of conflict, but by the ability to stay close and feel safe even when things are complicated.

Dana Ildis Brosh

Over a lifetime, crises and transitions can leave us overwhelmed and frustrated. Often, the very defenses we built to protect ourselves end up creating distance and misunderstanding with the people who matter most to us.

Therapy is a chance to pause in a safe, empathetic, non-judgmental space; to gently peel back those layers, and to listen for what is asking to be heard beneath the words and the arguments.

My aim is to walk alongside you as you build a new emotional language together: one that doesn’t ask either of you to give yourself up, but lets you grow, come closer, and be who you are, together.

Sometimes change begins with a single conversation.

Send me a message on WhatsApp or give me a call, and we’ll find a time to talk.

There’s no need to go into detail in your first message. A few words are enough, and we can talk about the rest.
